Native Michiganders Kate Jackman and Jennifer Wooley are Fresh Coast Photography. Their collection of photos celebrates the beauty of Michigan, from the serene shore and icy waters of Lake Superior and the Upper Peninsula to the Mighty Mac and the cities and university towns, pinewoods, placid rivers and towering dunes of the Lower Peninsula.
This exhibit of twenty-five photographs encompasses sweeping vistas as well as the details of life in Michigan, from skies to steel.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that the beauty of Michigan was a contributing factor to Kate and Jennifer picking up a camera and capturing what they saw. Kate’s first camera was a Kodak 110 and she has been photographing for 40 years. Jennifer has dabbled in different media in the arts, and found her love for photography 4 years ago.
Both are University of Michigan graduates and are proud to be tied to the local community in their professional lives.
